This chain maille weave is extremely popular. Although it looks complicated, it is in fact suitable for a beginner. It is a joy to weave, and incredibly satisfying to put the finished bracelet on your wrist! Although this workshop is taught in the context of a bracelet, more rings will be available to buy should you wish to “keep going” and make a necklace. The important concept of aspect ratio will be explained in detail. We will cover finishing techniques, including the addition of your chosen clasp, with emphasis on strength. Most people will complete their bracelet in class.

As clasps are very personal to the wearer, we include a simple sturdy bolt ring clasp with each of our workshops as our gift to you and always have a lovely selection of clasps available for purchase which cater for a variety of needs, preferences and tastes should you wish to personalise your creation.

This workshop includes enough materials to make a mid-weight sterling silver chain maille bracelet up to 8.5 inches in length.
